Terms of Service

Effective: April 14, 2026  ·  Last updated: April 14, 2026

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use HomeManager on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

2. Your data

Everything you put into HomeManager — items, rooms, photos, notes, maintenance parts, warranties, receipts — remains yours. We don’t run a server; your content lives on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your personal iCloud account. See the Privacy Policy for details.

You are responsible for the content you add. Don’t add anything that’s unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, or that you don’t have permission to store.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. App updates

We may release updates, features, or bug fixes from time to time. Some updates may change how the app works, add or remove features, or require a newer version of iOS. You can choose whether to install updates; older versions may stop working correctly when iOS or iCloud services change.

5. Third-party services

HomeManager uses Apple’s CloudKit for sync and storage. When you tap “Find This” or a similar link, the app may open external sites (such as Amazon) in your browser. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not ours.

6. Disclaimers

HomeManager is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of information.

We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. HomeManager is a record-keeping tool; it is not a substitute for professional advice on home maintenance, insurance claims, warranty enforcement, or legal matters. Always confirm critical information (warranty dates, serial numbers, part numbers) with the original manufacturer, seller, or a qualified professional before acting on it.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HomeManager and its owners, officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of HomeManager — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app will not exceed the greater of $10 or the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold HomeManager harmless from any claim, demand, or damages arising out of your use of HomeManager in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using HomeManager at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms. Sections 2, 6, 7, 8, and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Will County, Illinois, and you consent to that venue.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and surface a note in the app before the changes take effect. Continued use after that point means you accept the updated Terms.
